David has been practicing structural engineering for over a decade. His background includes an undergraduate degree in physics as well as a lifelong inquisitiveness regarding all things mechanical and building related. These skills make him an excellent problem solver. He doesn’t stop at the first design that springs to mind but draws upon his diverse background to reach an optimal solution. This makes him a valued member on multi-disciplinary design teams. His experience includes steel high-rise construction, parking structures, precast concrete, deep foundations, aluminum, wood, and masonry. He has also often been called upon to manage the design of unusual and challenging structures such as a steel pipe space frame supporting a 150-ft high ‘waterfall’ of glass cascading down a building façade. David performed an integral role in the structural design of the new Education First North American Headquarters building in Cambridge, MA highlighted in the article “International Waters” published in Modern Steel Construction in March 2015. David is licensed in New York and Massachusetts.
